When
my family decided to
come to the Thunder Over
Louisville fireworks
show this past month,
little did we realize
that it was to become an
adventure that we would
surely never forget. This is primarily due to meeting a truly astute person named Roger and his staff at Fairgrounds Liquors located near the hotel where we stayed on Preston Highway. He is truly an ambassador for Louisville and the surrounding area with a wealth of knowledge concerning Louisville. Helpful is not large enough of a word to describe the advice we received from him. He also directed us to the Blue Horse Restaurant at the Plaza on Phillips Lane where the food was simply outstanding. We decided to stay over for the Balloon Glow as well on Friday night — what beauty, and people should feel very lucky to have such great events. If money were not a problem, we would have stayed in Louisville for the entire two weeks. We will be back next year as we have been told that it gets bigger and better every year. Kudos to Louisville, Roger and everyone who played a part in making our visit so enjoyable. |
